You do not need to be taking practical lessons to start theory, although many students do both. For exam-track learners, your teacher will still align content with the syllabus and grade to keep everything relevant. Many students sign up as a supplement preparation towards their theory exams so they can focus physical lessons time on the practical aspect.
Nothing fancy! Just a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (preferably a laptop or desktop), stationery and your Music Theory Workbook.
