I picked up the piano at the age of 7 and began singing at the age of 9. Over the years, music became much more than a skill; it became a way of expressing emotions and telling stories that could not be expressed with words. Although I was classically trained, I found love for other genres such as jazz, musical theatre, choral, and contemporary pop,
which shaped me into a more versatile and open-minded musician. Today, I have worked with over 100 students through their journey of discovering their own musical voice, creativity, and artistry.

My teaching approach is adaptable, interest-led, and balanced. While I value strong technique and structured learning, I strongly believe lessons should be encouraging and engaging. As every student learns differently, I structure my lessons according to each individual’s personality, pace, and goals. Whether they are preparing for examinations,
performances, or simply learning for enjoyment, I value building genuine rapport with my students and creating a safe and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, make mistakes, and grow confidently at their own pace.

I naturally connect well with beginner to intermediate students, especially younger learners or students who may initially feel shy or lack confidence. One thing I often hear from parents and students is that my lessons feel warm, welcoming, and highly personalised, while still maintaining clear structure, direction, and progress.
